Seasonal Cut Fruit Bowl
A simple mixed fruit bowl built from what is in season, brightened with lemon, chaat masala, and mint. First-class fruit course for any main meal slot.
Fruit should be a deliberate plan item, not an afterthought. This one recipe covers breakfast, lunch finish, dinner side, or evening snack by changing the portion and the seasonal mix.
Default bowl is nut-free, soy-free, gluten-free, Jain, and no-onion/no-garlic. Optional nuts or seeds stay in variations only.

Ingredients
- 13 cups Mixed Seasonal Fruit, peeled and cut (see seasonal guide below)
- 21 tbsp Lemon or Lime juice
- 31/4 tsp Chaat Masala (optional)
- 41/4 tsp Roasted Cumin powder (optional)
- 5Pinch of Black Salt or regular salt (optional)
- 6Fresh Mint leaves
Instructions
- 1
Wash, peel as needed, and cut fruit into bite-size pieces. Aim for 2–3 different fruits for color and texture.
Cut fruit just before eating when possible; apples and bananas brown if they sit.
- 2
Place fruit in a bowl. Add lemon juice and toss gently.
Chaat masala is salty—start small.
- 3
Sprinkle chaat masala, roasted cumin, and a pinch of salt if using. Toss again.
Keep the bowl mostly fruit; spices are accents, not a coating.
- 4
Top with torn mint. Serve immediately for best texture.
For lunch or dinner as a side, use a smaller portion than for breakfast.
